Mediation
Event and CDR Processing
Process external data into jBilling in an extensible way.
Let jBilling’s mediation process automatically complete the bulk of your billing work. External events—such as call detail records (CDRs) and others—can be periodically entered into the system, and will update customer accounts based on what the information represents. These events can be used to update customer accounts and will appear on your invoices when they are generated. Events are also processed with a rules management system, making it easy for you to change how these events are handled.
Configurable CDR Format Reading
Process events in any format, just by configuring jBilling.
jBilling's mediation functionality is highly configurable and, with the assistance of plug-ins, lets you read CDR in multiple locations and formats. Through these components, your mediation data will be processed and your customer accounts will be updated.
File and Database Readers
Choose mediation that works for you.
jBilling allows you to determine how your mediation data is read, and whether CDRs are processed in database or file formats. You can also have multiple readers, allowing you to read events from multiple sources in the same mediation batch process.
Error Detection and Management
Quickly identify and reprocess CDRs with errors.
When a CDR contains errors or bad data, it is crucial to maintain this information to ensure accurate invoices. jBilling has the ability to detect these errors and enter them into a recycling bin. From there, the data can be examined, fixed, and reprocessed.
High-Speed Caching
Hundreds of record entries per second ensure your data is processed on time.
The jBilling mediation module has undergone strenuous testing with high-volume traffic and large numbers of daily events. With throughput that equals hundreds of events per second and a scalable architecture, you can feel secure knowing that your mediation data will be processed at a high speed.
