The jBilling team is proud to announce that our software has now been integrated with SugarCRM, an open source customer relationship management system.

To give you a better understanding of how this new functionality works, we have created a video. This video demonstrates how you can create an account in SugarCRM that will be immediately available as a customer in jBilling. It also shows how purchase orders, invoices, and payments created for that customer in jBilling will also be available to view in SugarCRM.

It is important to note that SugarCRM is not the only CRM system that can be used in this way. Other systems, such as Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics, and others, can also be easily integrated through jBilling's API.

New Features

This release contains the following major enhancements:

Meta Fields and Enumerations:
Create your own custom fields for orders, customers, products, payments, and invoices. You also gain the ability to create drop down lists directly from the GUI, which means there is no need for customization.

Historical Timeline:
You now have the ability to capture fluctuating rates as they change over time. You can capture a historical rate for products, plans, and currencies.

Connect a customer to a partner, and let jBilling handle the commission calculation based on a configurable payout period.

Rate Cards:
Upload your rate card as a CSV file and use it to price a product. You can upload and use as many rate cards as you require. When the mediation process runs, the events will automatically use the correct rates in the purchase order.

New Maintenance Release: 3.0.2

February 24 2012 by Lou Jeannot

Here we have another maintenance release of jBilling. This means no new functionality, just bug fixes. But there are a lot of bugs fixes in this release (more than a hundred), so a lot has been done in the previous two months.

For new functionality, you will have to wait for jBilling 3.1.0. That won't be a long wait; we are just a few weeks from releasing it. Then you will have a few new features, including the custom meta fields for not just customer, but invoices, payments, products, etc.

Until then.
